Microblading FAQ:

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments.

How long does it last?

Microblading can last anywhere from 1-3 years depending on your skin type.  Yearly touch-ups or color boosts can be scheduled and only cost $100.

Does it hurt?

Topical lidocaine numbing creams are used before and throughout the procedure to lessen or completely take away any pain you might feel.  If you have a hard time numbing at the dentist, you might have a hard time numbing overall.  Caffeine can also affect how well you numb.  The pain is minimal and short in duration.  There is no pain once the procedure is complete.

How many appointments are involved?

Microblading is a two-step process (your initial cost covers both appointments).  The second appointment is usually scheduled 6-8 weeks after the first and serves the purpose of filling in areas that may not have taken or tweaking the shape and "look" to get the fully desired outcome.

Are there any medical concerns?

  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding

  • You must be off Accutane for one year

  • You must not be taking Chantix

  • You should avoid treatment if on prescribed blood thinners

  • If a pre-med is required before dental appointments, you must consult your doctor prior to this procedure

Should I avoid anything prior to the procedure?

  • No caffeine/alcohol 24 hours prior as it can increase bleeding

  • Sunburns must heal before treatment so no tanning bed prior

  • No eyebrow waxing at least 7-10 days prior

  • Botox and fillers may alter shape (wait 4 weeks)

  • Retin-A must be discontinued at least 30 days prior to treatment

How long does the procedure take?

Between 1-3 hours

How much does microblading cost?

Currently, the price for microblading with Tammy is $450.  This includes your first visit plus your 6 week followup appointment.  Touchups as needed (every 1-3 years) are $100.
